9-1-1
for
Kids Program

The Talbot County Emergency Management Agency sponsors the 9-1-1 for Kids program in County Schools for First Graders. The children learn about the importance of 9-1-1 and what to do in an emergency. A portion of the program shows the children what happens when they dial 9-1-1 through the use of a simulator. The children participate in a poster contest and receive mementoes of their experience as follows: 9-1-1 Coloring Book Funded by the Elks Lodge, 1622 Ruler, Stickers, Magnet, and Pencils Prizes for Poster Contest Donated by: Talbot Bank This program has been very well received by our children and the community and is one for which we are proud.
